Small Business Website Launch Checklist (Save for Later)
Before you share your site, run through these seven checks. Each one answers a question a visitor has in the first few seconds: can I reach you, what do you do, are you real, and does this work on my phone?
Contact info in the header
Put your phone number or main contact button where people look first, at the top of every page. On phones, make the number tappable.
Services (and service area, if you have one) listed
List what you offer in plain words. If you only serve certain places, or only ship to certain countries, say so up front.
Real photos of your work
Your own photos of real work or products build more trust than stock images. Good light matters more than an expensive camera.
A contact form that emails you
Send a test message and make sure it actually lands in your inbox, not spam. Then reply to it so you know how replies look.
Looks right on a phone
Open every page on your own phone. Check that text is readable without zooming, buttons are easy to tap, and nothing runs off the screen.
Linked to your Google Business Profile
If customers find you locally, link your site and your Google Business Profile to each other. Online-only? Link your main social profile instead.
A reviews or testimonials section
Only use real reviews from real customers, with their permission. If you're brand new, leave this section out until you have some. Never write your own.

Squarespace is an all-in-one website builder, so the checklist above maps to settings you can handle without code. A simple order of work:
- Pick a template close to the layout you want, and delete the sections you don't need.
- Add your contact info and button to the header.
- Build a Services page and a Contact page with a form block, then test the form.
- Check the mobile preview in the editor, then check again on a real phone.
- Connect your domain and review your SEO title and description for each page.
